The Dispossessed

2 Jul

Self-loathing is such a dangerous thing. Though there are many things that people are not good at, it really is painful to watch someone who thinks they’re not good at being people. So seldom are the people who think so really doing anything to warrant thinking this in the first place.

The problem with these people is that there’s nothing anybody else can say to prove otherwise. They are convinced, for whatever reason, that they are not worthy. Now other than a small percentage of people that do monstrous things, most everybody is worthy, of love, of affection, of care, of attention. Do they always get them, no, sadly, but they are worth them. The people who do not see themselves as worthy, push these things away. To them, they have to earn these “privileges” and the bar is set up so high that they can never earn them.

I’m really feeling in my heart for these poor creatures today. Hopefully one can get away from that horrible place and embrace the good things in life.
