Manifesting: a word that I want to eke out all the positive and subtract all the negative. Manifesting can sound like something a group of witches do–running around in black robes shrieking at some poor dolt who is terrified out of his mind. I don’t want to manifest like that!

For me manifesting means taking something out of the mind and making it a real thing in life. What I want to manifest is the life that will make me happy. I want to have a self-sustaining workshop where I can make things. I would also like a small salon where art and philosophy and life and books can be discussed, the purpose of which is to delve into things–to eat with two hands into poetry and images and see what happens. Sounds like a sort of poetry seance but I do think that a group of minds focused on one thing can make for some lovely ideas.

Where I’m starting from? A good bit of talent I hope, a bureaucratic job in a hospital that I don’t really like all that much, though I don’t despise it either–but all the rules and papers! All the appointments to make! All the people to make happy! I need to get out soon, I can feel it suck me dry as slowly and completely as any vampire. However, I cannot sit on the side of the road with a tin cup.

So I’m focusing on manifesting. Finishing things and getting them out there. I have a tendency to have a billion ideas that are touched but not too many that are finished. That will change.

Good points that I believe many of us share. Taking care of the needs of everyone else first does indeed suck us dry. Having time with family is a great boost, but finding time time for photography, art, and writing which I need, do seem to be at the bottom of the daily.

All I can do is agree, and thank you for your comments!
